Cody and Macksi Tie The Knot!

This week Macksi and Cody tied the knot at a little stone church high up on a hill in Bolton Landing, and then celebrated their marriage with a small group of friends and family at Rydin-Hy ranch, right around the corner from my house! I wasn't able to make it to the wedding, so Macksi hired a photography student (my friend Morgan) through me to capture the getting ready as well as the ceremony (which my hubby also captured) and I joined them at the ranch for the celebration...I went up to the ranch on Christmas day to caputre a few detail shots...

Getting ready at the ranch...

Just as Macksi was leaving for the church, the snow began to fall...which made for some awesome pictures! I just love the long windy road that leads to the ranch...and it has this great red barn at the end...if it looks familiar, it's because I used this location for Morgan's portraits this past summer....We took a ride up that road the night before the wedding and went over some good spots for portraits...I just love these shots she got...

The door to the church...

I just love how this shot captures the whole scene as Macksi walked down the aisle.

I do...

Macksi's mom made the cake....it looked so yummy!

George & Jennifer Tie The Knot!

Last night was such a blast. Jen and George (who I met at my previous job) tied the knot with a winter themed wedding! Their wedding was at 4pm, so we didn't have much natural light for photo's (always a problem with winter evening weddings), but I was able to get some portraits in before the sun set.

The handsome groom....

And yet another totally beautiful bride (I am so lucky to have such good-looking clients)...

I love the smiles on groom's faces as they see their bride walking down the aisle...

I do....

There details...

A toast...

Cutting the cake...

And finally, my favorite part of this wedding...the KARAOKE AND DANCING! Jen and George did something I hadn't seen before...they hired a DJ who does Karaoke...and obviously this couple and their friends had some previous experience performing in front of a crowd....they were dancing and singing all night!

And lastly, I want to say thank you to my good friend Erin, who graciously stepped in at the last minute to second shoot for me because hubby had not yet recovered from his surgery....she was such a natural with the camera, and I had such a good time with her, that I'm going to try to convince her to come along more often. The shots she took were awesome!

Check the website next week for their slideshow!

All I want for Christmas.....

Is EVERYTHING, I guess....It's funy because I keep telling people nothing, then I sat down and thought about it and I had this huge list! Of course, I would like the cliche of 'world peace' but since that isn't going to happen here's the material items I'm longing for....

Ed Levine necklace. Hint hint to hubby-they have this at Louis Jewelers, next to the guitar shop-I left a card with the product number for you in my car-hint, hint ;-)

Some sort of I-Pod docking station with FM radio for my desk...

And, hubby wanted this Panasonic cordless drill with a light that charges in 50 minutes, or something guyish like that....I told him to keep dreaming when I saw the $420 pricetag! (For the record, he didn't know it cost that much)....

To help me make more green choices...

A composter for...well, that's obvious.

An automatic car starter (sorry, no picture)

Oh, and hubby would like some sort of tractor-lawn-mower thing with bulldozer-snowblower-tiller attachements that costs more than our second car
So, that's all I want for Christmas this year....for now....what's on your wish list??
