Grace

Today I had the pleasure of shooting little Grace with her parents, Owen and Andrea...She had such a cute bright pink dress on and bow in her hair, that I couldn't help but play with color again! Here goes...

Angela's father, Ronald Conover, is running for Bolton Town Supervisor, so I also took a few pictures for his campaign as well...good luck, Ronald!

My Maddy!

Today I spent a little time snapping some shots with my god-child Madelyn...I can't believe how mature her personality has gotten lately...I wanted to try a few new things with color...so here they are...

Anticipation...

So, I've been just dying to get my hands on a new fangled camera bag called a shootsac (http://www.shootsac.com/) designed by the fabulous Jessica Claire out in southern California...when the product launched a few months back, it was sold out before I could get my hands on one...so myself (and thousands of other photog's) have been not-so-patiently awaiting the relaunch of the site....which happened Tuesday morning at 3am! So, unlike some of those crazy's out there who got up to buy their shoot sac's at 3am, I waited until a respectible 4am to get on-line and pick out mine....Now, there's just one sac, so no decisions there, but there are these AWESOME covers for the bag, which are selling out like hot cakes! In fact, two of my favorites, Lavish and Drama Queen were sold out by the time I logged on! So I quickly bought myself delightful (which reminds me of my new logo) and around 9am, my most recent Bride, Cynthia, was kind enough to purchase my shootsac and the Derby and Flirt covers for me as a thank you for her wedding pictures! I just love that Derby is brown and black - kind of my personal style's signature colors...and Flirt reminds of the cowgirl hidden deep down in side...more on my cover choices and my efforts to design an logo/website that truly reflects ME tomorrow....for now, here's a peek (from the shootsac website) of what's in the mail for me...

Making Lemonade

I have been investing alot of time lately into the albums I am choosing to offer to my clients, and recently I decided to add Leather Craftsmen to my list. Today Rob and I used our last vacation day to attend a new client orientation/album design seminar at their Long Island location....So we woke up at 4am and hit the road...We drove 5 hours through torrential rains only to find that when we hit the Throgsneck Bridge, it was closed due to flooding...CLOSED! So, we flipped over to the AM stations to find an alternate route and learned that the LIE was a parking lot and people were abandoning their cars on the Meadowbook Expressway...all roads we needed to take...so what did we do, turned the car around, got off at the next exit, and spent the day at the Bronx Zoo!!! It stopped raining 20 minutes after we got there and although alot of the zoo was closed so they could clean up from the rains, this too was a blessing...the place was empty...it was like we had it all to ourselves...we saw monkey's, bears, giraffe's, lions, tigers, etc...all in all, although we got up at 4am and drove 6 hours through a hurricane to have our plans washed out, our last vacation day turned out to be the best one we've had since our honeymoon (short of an African Safari, trek in Nepal or visit to Patagonia, nothing on my travel wish list could beat our trip to Costa Rica and stay at the Paquare Lodge)...so, the next time you get lemons...see what you can do to make lemonade!

p.s.
sorry, no pic's...I was afraid to bring my camera out in the rain...then it stopped, figures.

Beth's Baby Shower & Connor Update

This weekend I made the trip to Boston for my little sister's baby shower, one of the nicest I have ever attended. I simply love celebrations put together by friends and family...there were so many loving touches in all of the details! Beth looked absolutely radiant, but I must say that the most beautiful I have ever seen her look was when I went with her to the NICU that night and watched her say hello to Connor (who she adoringly calls "monkey"). Meeting this little guy for the first time was the highlight of my weekend...he is the most joyous little bundle of perfectness that I have ever seen! It's amazing how much he looks like his father and so hard to believe that now weighing in at a whopping 3lbs 7oz (way-to-grow, Connor) he could be so healthy and perfect! This has definitely not been an easy road for Beth and Steve, and the future will hold it's difficulties also, but Connor is doing very well and they now have a whole house full of baby stuff to get organized and ready for his homecoming! Here's a few of my favorite pic's from the shower, and of course, of Connor!
