Cody and Macksi Tie The Knot!

This week Macksi and Cody tied the knot at a little stone church high up on a hill in Bolton Landing, and then celebrated their marriage with a small group of friends and family at Rydin-Hy ranch, right around the corner from my house! I wasn't able to make it to the wedding, so Macksi hired a photography student (my friend Morgan) through me to capture the getting ready as well as the ceremony (which my hubby also captured) and I joined them at the ranch for the celebration...I went up to the ranch on Christmas day to caputre a few detail shots...

Just as Macksi was leaving for the church, the snow began to fall...which made for some awesome pictures! I just love the long windy road that leads to the ranch...and it has this great red barn at the end...if it looks familiar, it's because I used this location for Morgan's portraits this past summer....We took a ride up that road the night before the wedding and went over some good spots for portraits...I just love these shots she got...

George & Jennifer Tie The Knot!

Last night was such a blast. Jen and George (who I met at my previous job) tied the knot with a winter themed wedding! Their wedding was at 4pm, so we didn't have much natural light for photo's (always a problem with winter evening weddings), but I was able to get some portraits in before the sun set.

And finally, my favorite part of this wedding...the KARAOKE AND DANCING! Jen and George did something I hadn't seen before...they hired a DJ who does Karaoke...and obviously this couple and their friends had some previous experience performing in front of a crowd....they were dancing and singing all night!

And lastly, I want to say thank you to my good friend Erin, who graciously stepped in at the last minute to second shoot for me because hubby had not yet recovered from his surgery....she was such a natural with the camera, and I had such a good time with her, that I'm going to try to convince her to come along more often. The shots she took were awesome!

Dan & Jean Tie The Knot!

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of being a 'second shooter' for my own wedding photographer, the super talented Rae Barnes, while she captured the wedding of Dan and Jean at The Lodge on Echo Lake in Warrensburg. It was so much fun to see her in action (since she is so great at being unobtrusive that at my own wedding I barely even knew she was there)...Here's a shot I grabbed of her doing her thing...

Dan and Jean had the perfect autumn day, and the Lodge at Echo Lake is such a nice place for a wedding! Here's a few of my favorite shots...

There was so much about this wedding that reminded me of my own wedding almost one year ago...the photographer, the time of year, the autumn accents, and, if that wasn't enough, I was super excited when I realized the music for the night was Rich Ortiz, who was the musician at my own wedding!

Isaiah & Christina Tie The Knot!

It was by far, the hottest...muggiest...most uncomfortable day of the summer....and yet it was still an amazing day! On Saturday, Christina and Isaiah tied the knot! This wedding felt a little different for me...maybe it's because Christina's older sister, Lisa, is my boss...She doesn't like it when I call her that, she refers to herself as my 'colleague', but she's my boss...So I've experienced all the anticipation of their wedding planning over the past few months...More than once, I admit, I had to wipe away a tear or two...Christina and Isaiah are truly amazing people and the love they share is felt by all around them...but not just their love, you can't help but feel the love this entire family has for one another...it's intoxicating! Despite the heat, everyone had a good time, and Isaiah, possibly the most love-crazed groom I have ever seen (except for my hubby, of course) was seen fanning cool air under his new wife's wedding gown more than once! These are a few of my favorite shots...it was so hard to pick that this post took me hours and I had to try out a new collage idea just to get extra shots in...I can't wait to post the slide show later this week! Congratulations Isaiah and Christina!

Caroline and Tim's Wedding

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Caroline and Tim's wedding...They had one of the nicest days of the summer for their outdoor event at Lanthier's...They were surrounded by friends and family and everyone had a wonderful time! I hope everyone gets the opportunity to attend a wedding as fun and filled with love as this one!
