Dan & Jean Tie The Knot!

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of being a 'second shooter' for my own wedding photographer, the super talented Rae Barnes, while she captured the wedding of Dan and Jean at The Lodge on Echo Lake in Warrensburg. It was so much fun to see her in action (since she is so great at being unobtrusive that at my own wedding I barely even knew she was there)...Here's a shot I grabbed of her doing her thing...
Dan and Jean had the perfect autumn day, and the Lodge at Echo Lake is such a nice place for a wedding! Here's a few of my favorite shots...

Two of the other 'favorite' images I captured from the day are displayed on Rae's blog post here...

There was so much about this wedding that reminded me of my own wedding almost one year ago...the photographer, the time of year, the autumn accents, and, if that wasn't enough, I was super excited when I realized the music for the night was Rich Ortiz, who was the musician at my own wedding!

Congratulations Dan and Jean!

Connor's Announcement

OK, so I've been anxiously waiting to post this...I didn't want to put it up here before they got mailed out, but people are receiving them...so here is the announcement I designed for Connor! They are actually 4X6 magnets...I LOVE that idea...perfect for showing off on the fridge!

On the magentized fridge note....if you are like me and have a stainless steel fridge, it's not magnetized...I didn't think of this when I upgraded from my old fridge to stailess steel, and and so I was left at a loss for places to post all my fun stuff...until I discovered magentized chalkboard paint (see this article http://casasugar.com/418112)! You can paint it anywhere...need a kitchen makeover, but on a budget? Use it to paint your cabinents, or update an old works-perfectly-fine-but-doesn't-look-great fridge by painting it with this! You'll have a great space for grocery lists or notes to family members! Love the idea, but don't want to commit?? Go to your local walmart or Target, pickup a poster size frame with glass, take it home, take it apart, paint the glass, wait for it to dry, put it back together....then hang it on the wall! Voila!

Here's an up-close look at the pictures featured in the announcement...

Lake George Car Show

ugh...I am way behind...on everything...including my blogging. I have so much to tell everyone, but I only have time today for one, so I'll show you the outing my hubby and I went on last weekend to the annual Lake George Car Show...We've never gone before, but I thought it would be a good photo opportunity, and he loves cars...so we went, and here's what we saw...

look closely...this one is a self portrait!

Connor's First Year - Take One!

Well, technically, I have a few earlier shots of Connor's first year....like my sister's cute preggo belly and Connor while he was in the NICU...but last weekend Rob and I went to visit him for his first real photo shoot! He's such a trooper! I designed his announcements and the invitation for his baptism, which are being mailed this week...so you won't see any of those shots just yet...wouldn't want to spoil the surprise...but here's a few more of my favorites...
