Isaish & Christina's Engagement

Today I had the honor of capturing some engagement portraits for Isaish & Christina...They came up to Bolton Landing for the day with Christina's father, and we headed out to the park...It was such a nice day - I hope they have great weather like this for their August wedding! They are such an easy going couple, that I really had a great time taking photo's of them...here are a few of my favorites...there were so many to pick from, it was hard to choose.

Check back in a few days for more in the slideshow section of my website!

He said yes...Music for my new site!

I've been working hard to get the new site up and running...I hope you all like it and I welcome any comments. So far, I simply love it...mostly because I have the honor of spotlighting original music of the wonderfully talented (and local) Rich Ortiz! I thought the sound of his newly released CD (available on his myspace page www.myspace.com/richortiz or on i-tunes) would be perfect and I was so nervous to call and ask his permission but graciously, he said yes! I am such a fan of Rich, and my girlfriends and I have followed him around like puppy dog's since college! When Rich starts playing, you can't help but bubble over with happiness that you are alive in this wonderful world! He is an amazing artist, and is the highlight of every wedding he does (including my own-friends and family are still raving about how much fun they had)...Check him out (www.richortiz.com) , and consider him for your own wedding...He's an up-and-coming star, and someday you'll be telling your kids, "he played at our wedding"...

Mom's Retirement Party

Rob and I went home last weekend for my mom's retirement party...I can't believe I am just getting around to posting it...We love the trip home from Bolton to Malone through Keene Valley...I'm posting some of our pictures from the drive and the retirement party..It was also a pleasure to see all my siblings...especially my sister Beth and her husband Steve, as she has the cutest pregnant belly I have ever seen!!!!

I want to say that I am so proud of my mom's lifetime dedication to the teaching profession! She is the kind of teacher that only comes along once in the life of a student. My mom not only taught the most difficult high school Social Studies curriculum with an amazing Regents Exam pass rate, but was someone students truly trusted and enjoyed. Her classroom was always full of laughing kids, and when someone was in trouble, or needed a trusing adult to listen and advise, she was the first person they went to. So, she was not only a teacher of Social Studies, but a teacher of life as well....and the positive impact she has had on so many childrens lives is unmeasurable! Congratulations mom!

An Adirondack Spring Day

Today I took a break from doing lots of yard work to take a few shots of spring in the Adirondacks around our house....I also took a few of our Malamute, Hannah playing! Here are some of my favorites...

Cynthia's Bridal Shower

On Saturday I had the pleasure of attending a bridal shower for my sister-in-law-to-be, Cynthia! The shower was held in NYC at the very trendy home of her Aunt, who was an amazing hostess. A wonderful time was had by all, and her pup, Otis, was definitely a highlight of the day. I'm so excited for their June 11th wedding!
